Source text - English Tocquevillean analyses of social movements are limited to cases in which structural opportunities (the vulnerability of the state to popular political pressure) coincide with perceived opportunities (the public's awareness of opportunities for successful protest activity). This alignment may not always occur, however. I examine the implications of a mismatch between structural opportunities and perceived opportunities using participant and eyewitness accounts of the Iranian revolutionary movement of 1977 through 7979. By several objective measures, the monarchy was not structurally vulnerable. Yet Iranians appear to have perceived opportunities for successful protest, basing their perceptions on a shift in the opposition movement, not on a shift in the structural position of the state. In the conflict between structural conditions and perceived opportunities, the structural conditions gave way. Only by examining cases in which structural opportunities and perceived opportunities are out of balance can the relative effect of each be determined

Source text - English Controversy over a negative experiential state among players, discussed as ‘‘burnout’’ in media reports, stimulated the New Zealand Rugby Union to commission research (including the present study) into players’ experiences. Athlete burnout research to date has largely been limited to studies featuring cross-sectional designs. The purpose of this study was to examine changes in the key characteristics of burnout over a ‘‘rugby year’’, a 30-week competitive period involving two or more independent competitions. Players completed the Athlete Burnout Questionnaire at three different times during the 30-week competitive rugby year. Some statistically significant changes were observed in key characteristics of burnout across the competitive rugby year. Specifically players reported that their feelings of reduced accomplishment increased pre-competition to in-competition phases. Changes in exhaustion over time were associated with playing position. Burnout was also associated with injury, non-selection, rugby experience and team membership. Overall the results reflect that burnout is a dynamic experience and indicate that factors such as playing position, injury, selection and starting status are worthy of further investigation.
Translation - Persian (Farsi) بحث بر سر تجربه‌ي حالات منفي در ميان ورزشكاران، كه به عنوان «تحليل‌رفتگي» در گزارشات رسانه‌اي مطرح شده، اتحاديه‌ي راگبي نيوزيلند را واداشت درباره‌ي تجربيات ورزشكاران به تحقيق بپردازد ( از جمله تحقيق حاضر). پژوهش درباره‌ی تحليل‌رفتگي ورزشكاران تا‌كنون اغلب به طرح‌هاي مقطعي محدود شده است. هدف از پژوهش حاضر بررسي تغييرات در مشخصه‌هاي کلیدی تحليل‌رفتگي طي یک « سال راگبي» است. سال راگبی به يك دوره‌ي رقابتي سي هفته‌اي اطلاق می‌شود كه شامل دو يا چند مسابقه‌ي مستقل می باشد. بازيكنان «پرسشنامه‌ي تحليل‌رفتگي ورزشكاران» را در سه مقطع زمانی متفاوت طي اين دوره‌ي سه هفته اي مسابقات راگبي پر کردند. در طول این دوره‌ي رقابتي راگبي، چند تغييرات مهم آماري در مشخصه‌هاي کلیدی تحليل‌رفتگي ورزشكاران مشاهده شد. به طور مشخص، بازيكنان اظهار داشتند كه احساس کمبود قابلیت در آنان در مقاطع زمانی پیش از آغاز مسابقات تا طی برگزاری مسابقات افزايش يافته است. تغيير در ميزان خستگي و فرسودگی با جايگاه بازيكنان در بازي مرتبط بود. ضمناً تحليل رفتگي با آسيب ديدگي، عدم گزينش، سابقه‌ی بازیکن در بازی‌های راگبي و عضويت در تيم نیز ارتباط داشت. به طور كلي نتايج نشان مي دهد كه تحليل رفتگي يك تجربه‌ي متغیر است و عواملي همچون جایگاه بازیکن، آسيب ديدگي، گزينش و وضعيت شروع موضوعات شایان توجهی هستند که بايد بيشتر مورد بررسي قرار گيرند.
