Traza un recorrido por artistas y piezas representativas de la última década, fijándose también en los experimentos de "música visual" de artistas de comienzos del siglo pasado, como Oskar Fischinger o James Whitney. Visualizar el sonido nace con la idea de generar un diálogo entre todas las piezas que integran la exposición, abarcando un siglo de creación en torno a la misma idea o concepto: dominar la onda, representarla y domesticarla, la necesidad de ir más allá de dónde nuestros sentidos nos hacen llegar y que, al fin y al cabo, es la esencia de todo arte. Trata de mostrar un espectro lo más amplio posible de las múltiples representaciones del sonido, investigando sobre la dimensión sonora de los espacios que habitamos.
Translation - English This international group exhibit intends to explore the synthesis between image and sound, the different graphical and physical representations of sound, and its evolution in the context of contemporary art. It charts a course of the most representative artists and pieces of the last decade, also focusing on "visual music" experiments by artists from the beginning of the last century such as Oskar Fischinger and James Whitney. Visualizar el sonido [Visualising Sound] originated in the idea of generating dialogue among all of the pieces that make up the exhibition, spanning a century of creation based on the same idea or concept: to dominate the wave, represent and tame it; the need to go beyond the place where our senses have brought us, which is, after all, the essence of all art.
