Source text - German Die Zündspule hat auf Klemme 15 Zündstrom, sobald die Zündung eingeschaltet ist. Auf Klemme 1 bekommt sie Masse, sobald die Kontakte geschlossen sind. Dabei baut sich in der Spule ein Hochspannungsfeld auf, das sich über Anschluss 4 (Zündkabel zum Verteiler) entlädt, wenn der Nocken des Verteilers die Kontakte trennt. Der dann entstehende Abreißfunke zwischen den Kontakten wird von dem Kondensator gelöscht. Wenn Kontakte beim Öffnen stark funken, ist der Kondensator defekt. Das zieht ein Verbrennen der Kontakte (blau) und Motor-Aussetzer nach sich. Da hilft nur erneuern des Kondensators.

La scintilla che scocca in questo momento fra i contatti, viene soppressa dal condensatore. Se i contatti scintillano fortemente all'apertura, il condensatore è difettoso. Ciò comporta la bruciatura dei contatti (colore blu) e mancate accensioni del motore. L'unico rimedio è la sostituzione del condensatore.
