Bio
Sarah Edelman is a fulltime freelance interpreter who works in Spanish, English and French. She has interpreted for United Nations’ agencies, TED Talks, and events such as the International Women’s Earth and Climate Summit and the Tribeca Film Festival.

Sarah was raised in a bilingual household in Madrid and in El Puerto de Santa María, Spain surrounded by a profound love for languages and music. She graduated in 2011 from University of Jean Jaurès in Toulouse, France with a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, a minor in macroeconomics as well as a university degree in French as a Foreign Language. She has also completed a master’s degree in conference interpretation from York University in Toronto, Canada. In 2016 Sarah became certified by the New York State Unified Court system in Spanish and French.

She especially enjoys working for events related to human rights, international relations, environmental activism, youth and the arts. Sarah is a member of the American Translators Association (ATA) and the New York Circle of Translators (NYCT). Sarah resides in Brooklyn, New York.
