I was born in Macedonia to an English mother and a Macedonian father, but spent my formative years in the United Kingdom. Consequently, my life has been spent between two home countries and two inherent cultures, which I am continually striving to bring together in some way.

I am one of very few translators that have both native Macedonian and English. I have four years of experience working for the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (UN-ICTY) in the Hague, the Netherlands. Working there made me realise that I have a natural ability to pick up details that may normally be lost in translation, not only literally, but also culturally and socially. It showed me that I am able to be a bridge between societies that are struggling to comprehend one another, and instilled in me a desire to assist in that mutual comprehension as much as possible.
