Bio

I am a full-time (Portuguese/Spanish to English) translator, having attained an MA in Translation Studies from the University of Birmingham in 2014. I also have a BA (Hons) in Communication, Culture and Media from Coventry University and have completed a subtitling course from University College London.

My main areas of expertise are environment, health, clinical trials, law/legal, government, public sector and culture/media. I also translate in the areas of tourism, IT, business, marketing and market research.

I was born in Brazil, but as I have been living in the UK since the age of 10, I now consider English to be my mother tongue. A rare trait but a great advantage for any business as I have the cultural knowledge needed to translate extremely well from Portuguese into English while also having the ability to understand the Portuguese source text in a native capacity.
