As an Associate Professor of Spanish, I do not make my living as a translator, but rather my translation work serves as an additional professional and creative outlet for my passions for language, literature and culture. I have nine years of experience in Proofreading/Editing E>S on long-term projects and translate literature S>E. A current proofreading project is for an international evangelical organization. My first literary project involved collaborating with authors in Costa Rica, although my primary field is Peninsular literature. At this time I am pursuing a Certificate in Translation Studies from New York University in order to broaden my experience and I am also developing new undergraduate translation courses for my university.
I bring the rigor of academic research and critical thinking to all my work and welcome a wide range of translation projects. |
