RATES:

I will be pleased to provide quotations free of charge upon request. Although my rates vary between €0.85 and €0.11 depending on difficulty, length and urgency, my average price is €0.09. Minimum charge of €60.00.

ABOUT MYSELF:

I was born in England and moved to Barcelona after studying Hispanic Studies at Sheffield University. After living in Spain for over 30 years, I have dual British – Spanish nationality and I am totally bilingual in English and Spanish and fluent in Catalan.

During my first years in Barcelona I taught English at FIAC School of Languages. In 1990 I began to work as secretary for the B&M, C.V.P., S.L., Swine Vet Consultants. A large part of my work consisted in translating reports, articles, presentations and conferences covering all aspects of the swine industry, both from Spanish to English and English to Spanish. I was responsible for the translation from English to Spanish of the specialized Danish magazine “EUROPEAN PIG NEWS” dedicated to the swine industry, during its year of publication.

In 2000 I started to work for L.E. JACKSON, S.L., (Barcelona) a company dedicated to the representation in Spain of foreign firms, manufacturers of process and packaging machinery for the food industry. An important part of my job is to translate correspondence, quotations, contracts, user manuals and other technical and general documents, both Spanish to English and English to Spanish.
