I have been awarded scholarships as a translator in residence in Hungary (Magyar Fordítóház), Ireland (Ireland Literature Exchange), Norway (Oversetterhotell) and Switzerland (Übersetzerhaus Looren).
In 2016 I was nominated for the Jabuti prize for best book-length translation published in Brazil for my work on Karl Ove Knausgård's Min kamp 4, released in Brazil as "A ilha da infância".
Over the years, I have been involved in both extremely large (over 500,000 words) and extremely long (over five years) translations, often as the sole translator responsible for the entire project. Some of these were also highly confidential and included tight related to worldwide book launches.
As an award-nominated translator with a very strong academic and professional background in literature, I am mostly interested in projects where close attention to style and to the nuances of language are at the forefront.
