Source text - English … to write this book is the experience I have gained in treating
cancer with biological methods over the last 25 years. Cancer
is just as much a challenge for the patients with the disease as
for the doctors who treat it. I would like to encourage cancer
patients and impart to them that this disease, no matter how devastating
it is when first diagnosed, does not automatically have
to be a death sentence – it can be the opportunity to start a new life. I would
also like to show that there are ways and means in the biological treatment of
cancer to alleviate and even heal the disease. It is essential, however, that cancer
patients learn not to relinquish their own responsibility to the all-pervading powers
claimed by orthodox medicine, but rather to see the disease as a chance to
change their own lives.
In his book Love, Medicine and Miracles the physician and author Bernie Siegel
wrote the wonderful sentence: “There are no incurable diseases, only incurable patients.”
This means that there are not really any illnesses, only ill patients. There
is a lot of truth in this sentence, and it reminds me again and again that it is not
the disease but the patient that should be the focal point of treatment.
My own path to ‘alternative medicine’, as it is so nicely termed nowadays, began
37 years ago when my daughter contracted severe neurodermitis atopica. I quickly
realized that there were not many alternatives for treatment available in orthodox
medicine. Cortisone in varying concentrations was the only thing they had to offer.
My despair at the incapability of orthodox medicine and those who follow this
school of thought caused me to look for other alternatives. Finally, an anthroposophical
physician was successful in both helping my daughter and opening my
eyes to a different – alternative – type of medicine.
Through anthroposophical medicine, homeopathy, naturopathic medicine and
psychotherapy I came to a new understanding of disease and healing. For the way
of looking at a person as a whole and not seeing the patient as a symptom of
a disease that needs to be repaired, I have to thank my homeopathic teacher Matthias
Dorci, who on the occasion of examining a sick patient in Baden near Vienna
said: “What a fate this person has.” This sentence has left an impression with me
to this day and continues to accompany me along my path.
I opened my practice in Hanover 25 years ago, where I treat patients using alternative
healing methods. I have been fortunate to experience how more and more
people have embraced this medical school of thought and received help. Among
them there were also many cancer patients looking for a physician who could
treat their disease by using the methods of biological cancer therapy.
Along the long road toward developing a new biological cancer therapy I came to
understand that cancer is not a disease that just comes out of the blue, but rather
that it has something to do with the lifestyle and habits of the patient. This has
been confirmed by the results of recent research, which report again and again
that cancer is caused to a great extent by factors such as smoking and drinking
habits, diet, the person’s general emotional state and by toxic substances that
we are continually exposed to. People in our society have been schooled to think
that becoming healthy again is dependent solely on doctors and medication. They
have lost the sense that being healthy is connected to themselves, just as with
being ill. They have forgotten that they have to actively work at staying healthy
and have been conditioned to pass on the responsibility for themselves and their
bodies when they walk through the door of a hospital or a doctor’s office.
As a physician who has chosen the gentle alternative of naturopathic medicine
for treating cancer patients, I have nevertheless become convinced that only by
a change in lifestyle can there be any chance at all of understanding and curing
cancer.
I would like to encourage readers of this book to tackle the disease and intensively
try to find their own way of dealing with it, to give their own lives a new
direction. The highly specialized range of treatment we offer at our Center is
designed to help you deal with the cancer, increase your quality of life and see
the disease as a chance to change your life.
I hope that this book will help many patients to pursue new alternatives and to
find a responsible way of dealing with their disease.
Translation - Ukrainian …Данная книга – плод накопленного мной опыта лечения рака биологическими методами, который я приобрёл на протяжении последних 25 лет. Рак – это серьёзное испытание не только для пациентов, но и для их лечащих врачей. Я бы хотел подбодрить онкологических больных и заверить их в том, что, каким бы шокирующим не прозвучал для них диагноз, эта болезнь - не приговор, а часто возможность начать новую жизнь. Также я хотел бы показать, что существуют пути и методы биологического лечения рака, позволяющие облегчить течение болезни и даже полностью излечить её. Однако крайне важно, чтобы онкологические больные научились не перекладывать собственную ответственность на якобы всеохватывающие возможности традиционной медицины, а, напротив, научились смотреть на болезнь как на возможность изменить свою жизнь.
В своей книге «Любовь, медицина и чудеса» доктор и писатель Берни Сигел приводит замечательное высказывание: «Нет неизлечимых болезней, есть только неизлечимые пациенты». Это означает, что, по сути, болезни не существуют, существуют лишь больные пациенты. В этом высказывании есть большая доля истины, и оно всё снова напоминает мне, что главным объектом терапии должна быть не болезнь, а сам пациент.
Мой путь к ‘альтернативной медицине’, как её красиво именуют в наше время, начался 37 лет назад, когда моя дочь заболела серьёзной формой атопического дерматита. Довольно быстро для меня стало очевидным, что традиционная медицина может предложить совсем немного вариантов лечения. Единственным методом лечения, которое предлагалось, было применение гормона Кортизона в разных дозировках.
Мое отчаяние из-за несостоятельности традиционной медицины и тех, кто следовал её концепции, побудило меня искать альтернативные методы лечения. В конце концов, один доктор-антропософ не только с успехом вылечил мою дочь, но и открыл мне глаза на другой – альтернативный – вид медицины.
Благодаря антропософической медицине, гомеопатии, натуропатической медицине и психотерапии я пришёл к новому пониманию болезни и лечения. Я стал рассматривать человека как единое целое, а не видеть в нём лишь симптом болезни, которую нужно лечить, и за это я благодарен моему наставнику-гомеопату Матиасу Дорси, который однажды во время осмотра больного в Бадене, что неподалёку от Вены, сказал: «Какая горькая участь у этого человека!» Эта фраза произвела на меня глубокое впечатление, и по сей день она сопровождает меня на этом поприще.
Я открыл свою клинику в Ганновере 25 лет назад, где занимаюсь лечением пациентов с применением альтернативных методов лечения. Мне посчастливилось видеть, как всё больше людей отдавали предпочтение этому направлению медицины и получали превосходные результаты. Среди них было немало онкологических больных, которые искали доктора, способного лечить их болезнь, применяя методы биологической терапии рака.
На долгом пути развития новой биологической терапии рака я осознал, что рак – это не болезнь, которая возникает из неоткуда. В значительной степени он связан с образом жизни и привычками пациента. Этот факт был подтвержден результатами недавних исследований, которые всё снова и снова свидетельствуют о том, что рак в значительной степени обусловлен курением, злоупотреблением алкоголем, привычками питания, общим эмоциональным состоянием человека и воздействием токсических веществ, которому мы постоянно подвержены. В нашем обществе распространено мнение, что вернуть хорошее здоровье могут исключительно врачи и лекарства. Мы утратили осознание того, что здоровье, как и болезнь, исходит от нас самих. Мы забыли, что для поддержания здоровья нам следует активно трудиться, и мы были приучены думать, что, переступая порог больницы или входя в кабинет врача, мы освобождаем себя от ответственности за наш организм.
Будучи врачом, избравшим неагрессивную альтернативную натуропатическую медицину для лечения онкологических больных, я всё же глубоко убеждён, что понять природу и вылечить рак возможно только изменив образ жизни.
Я бы хотел побудить читателей этой книги всерьёз взяться за то, чтобы побороть болезнь, усиленно попытаться найти свой собственный путь выздоровления и задать своей жизни новое направление. Высокоспециализированный спектр терапевтических методов нашего Центра направлен на то, чтобы помочь вам побороть рак, улучшить качество жизни и посмотреть на болезнь как на возможность изменить свою жизнь.
Я надеюсь, что эта книга поможет многим пациентам избрать новые альтернативные методы лечения и открыть для себя действенный способ борьбы с болезнью.
