I am a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and am proficient in both traditional and simplified Chinese. I've always been interested in languages and was awarded a college scholarship for the highest score in Chinese subject in the national university entrance exam (similar to SAT in the US). I have a BA in Chinese literature and linguistics from Tsing-Hua University (清華大學) and an MA from UCSD in linguistics (semantics and neuro-linguistics).

I started my interpreter career working for a bilingual church and have been involved in medical, legal and conference interpretation for big corporations. My clients include the United Nations, ICANN, GE, L'Oreal, Morgan Stanley and MetLife, MIT, the West Point Academy, as well as hospitals, courts, and law firms. I also do translation in various subject matters. I was certified by CCHI in 2012 as a Mandarin Chinese -- English healthcare interpreter. I am also an ATA certified English to Chinese translator.

Besides translating and interpreting, I worked as a journalist for World Journal, the largest circulated Chinese newspaper in N. America and I was a Chinese lecturer at UC Berkeley, Mandarin Training Center in Taipei, and University of Bath in the UK. I provide cultural training as well.
