English to Yoruba: not my desire Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - English Ayinde managed to sit up after struggling for a while. His figure on the bed was pity inspiring. He was as thin as a rake. His eyes has begun a retreat into their sockets. His chins were sunken. His ribs could easily be counted by whosoever desired. He was in a big room with a small window from which came rays of light. His bed was in one corner of the room and a mat was spread on the floor. A few cloths were hung on nails in the wall. Ayinde coughed and it racked the whole of his body. His wife, Aduke, who was with him put her right hand on his chest to cushion the effect of the cough on him. After the rounds of coughing, Aduke gave her husband of over ten years a piece of rag into which he spat the blood-stained sputum. Ayinde was very ill.

Bio
Hello,
I got introduced to translation and ProZ.com by a friend who also went through the same University, who is a Translator. He runs an agency too.
Proz.com has been a great platform for me in every way. Meeting new Clients, interactions with fellow Translators, etc.
Since I started this translation over 13 years ago translating from my native language Yoruba to English and from English to Yoruba, I am enjoying every bit of it! I also work in the English/Igbo and English/Hausa pairs.
This translation business is highly interesting, making me a true part of the global Village and preserving the local tongue. Contributing my own quota to localization and offering value to our valued Vendors/ Companies is paramount to us and go the extra mile to satisfy them.
Hoping to achieve more this year and give our very best to the Clients/ Companies we would be working with.
