Hi, I’m Naomi a NAATI-certified Japanese to English translator with 13 years of experience so I know that translation is more than just replacing words and phrases. It is about understanding all the layers of the text and the intention behind it and reconstructing it in a way that speaks to the target audience while remaining true to the tone, message and meaning. 

Combining my love of languages with my passion for travel, food, nutrition, and preventative health, I provide Japanese to English translation services to business, individual and agency clients. 

My fields of expertise are Japanese mushrooms, nutrition and lifestyle medicine, food and gastronomy (especially vegan, macrobiotic, and plant-based), and travel and tourism; all of which are feature prominently in my personal as well as my professional life. (When I am not at my desk, I can be found in the kitchen trying out a new recipe, at the gym, exploring the mountains, travelling or simply curled up with my Kindle or an industry journal and a cat.)
