Bio
My first experience in the translation industry was at an in-house proofreader/editor position, right after graduating!

I proofread the whole User Technical Documentation for the Leclerc Main Battle Tank, that's 22,000 pages.

It might sound strange starting at such a position when you're a freshly graduated translator. On top of it, it was from French to English (though my native tongue is French).

Actually, the translator I proofread during two years was a retired Royal Airforce pilot who mastered as well the technique and his language.

But my task was far from useless. I had to check that the end-client's terminology was complied with and create the Leclerc MBT French-English glossary.

And most of all, I learned a busload of technologies, reading from A to Z the Technical Guides, Operator's Manual, Maintenance procedures, etc.

Then I kept working as an in-house translator in technical industries such as Software, Defence.

I also had a good experience in a translation agency specializing in patents.

As a freelancer, I am now specializing in Standard Operating Procedures, food service, business travel, as well as in Health Security & Environment.

I provide high-quality texts thanks to thorough and efficient terminology research, while meeting the deadlines.
Keywords: English, technical writing, military, automotive, patents, operator's manual, parts list, radar
