Born in Lima, Peru, I grew up loving and learning English from a very early age. I guess my
first steps in translation were my rather clumsy attempts at translating my
favourite Beatles songs from English to Spanish when I was about 11 years old. So, it
was inevitable that one day I would become a translator.

Years later, I took up French and got a BA in Translation from English and French into Spanish, lived and worked for a year in the UK and
France and finally moved to Spain, where I have been living since 1991.

Over the years, I have also worked as a liaison interpreter, and recently finished a post-graduate course in Conference Interpreting at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

My main working areas are tourism, adventure sports, business and  international
development, as well as the railway and elevator industries, amongst others.

Due to my strong personal interest in literature and cinema, I have recently trained to expand my knowledge and skills in literary translation, as well as subtitling. I am currently collaborating as a subtitle translator with a Spanish VOD streaming platform.
