Bio
Hello!
My name is Boris and I have been a translator for Slovenian (my mother tongue), English and German for over 20 years, with over 15.000 translated pages in all the mentioned language combinations.
My fields of experience as a translator are law, lawsuits, insurances, contracts (work, employment, cooperation contracts etc.), accounting (annual reports etc.), construction, IT, welding technology, instructions for use (for end customers of home appliances), marketing (promotional texts), automotive technology, railroad infrastructure, certificates (school certificates, diplomas etc.) and computer programs.
I also like to translate social science texts (sociology, psychology, history, politics and economics).
I usually do not translate natural science texts, such as medicine, unless absolutely necessary, and poetry.
In my work I use various CAT tools, mostly Trados Studio and memoQ, but I am willing to learn to work with other CAT tools as well. I work as a freelance translator/independent entrepreneur, so I issue my own invoices.
I am willing to provide test translations, free of charge, and I can also provide recommendations from companies I work with and credentials (diploma certificate).
