Source text - English Bailey’s PTS Series pressure transmitters (PTS) use the resistance of variable reluctance coils to provide for more accurate temperature compensation.
Improvements in pressure transmitters (PTs) and differencial pressure transmitters (DPTs) have ocurred at a rapid pace since the introduction of smart transmitters a decade ago. The process industries have received many benefits from this, and transmitter manufacturers continue to add to these benefits with new advancements.
A line of pressure transmitters that has taken on a higher level of intelligence and contanins an improved approach to measurement is the Platinum Standard Series, offered by Bailey Controls Co. (Wickliffe, OH) and designated the PTS Series. Although modified considerably for the purpose of improving reliability and performance, the PTS Series si similar enough to the current line to be considered by Bailey as an enhancement rather than un replacement. The existing BCN Series is Baley Control’s second generation of smart transmitters.
