Bio
Words are much more than a succession of symbols and sounds. They are dynamic, living reflects of a given culture, field, or discipline, even of a particular person. Translation is hence much more than simply choosing at the same from the list found in a dictionary: It is the act of building a bridge between cultures, disciplines, and people.
The key to a successful translation lies in the ability to accurately express the original message to the target audience, observing the hue and characteristics that are specific to each type of text and caring cultural differences. Having domination of a foreign language is not in itself enough to take on such an important assignment.
I am fully prepared and professional English to Spanish translator who works full-time on a freelance basis. I invite you to look around through my resume to see what I have to offer you and your company. I majored in English to Spanish Translation at Natural Learn English in Bolivia, and I had a degree in English Literature at UTAH Spanish University.
Moreover I pursued to become an English teacher. I worked in an English Institute as a teacher, teaching all the levels and translating all the documents that this institution required, which enabled me to grasp all the grammar rules and new academic terminology. Although interesting, I discovered that I didn't desire to work exclusively on these translation areas, so I left the Institute after two year and set out to specialize in two other fields that have fascinated me for as long as I can remember: Medicine and Pharmaceuticals.
I have been translating on a freelance basis for different medical companies (both local and international), healthcare providers, NGOs and translation agencies in these fields ever since, what`s more I have put up a solid base of satisfied clients who be able to show to my professional worth.
While, I have been working as a independent consultant for some Editorials. To work doing translations, where I learned a lot about literature for children, adolescents, adults, and general topics.
I have also been an active member of PROZ.com, since 2009.
