English to Italian: RECOVERING NONPECUNIARY DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT UNDER LOUISIANA LAW General field: Law/Patents Detailed field: Law (general)
Source text - English Prior to the revision, the Louisiana Supreme Court addressed the myriad interpretations given to former article 1934(3) in Meador v. Toyota of Jefferson, Inc. n2 Although much of the court's analysis in Meador is supported by the terms and history of the article, the court drew a distinction between intellectual and physical gratification that is not. This latter aspect of Meador produced subsequent inconsistencies in the contractual realm of nonpecuniary damage recovery.
In Meador, a young girl sought recovery for nonpecuniary damages caused by a seven month delay in the repair of her first automobile. The court phrased the issue in the following way: "May an automobile owner recover damages for aggravation, distress, and inconvenience from a repairman who has unnecessarily and excessively delayed completion of the vehicle's repair?" The court looked to article 1934(3) which read:
Where the contract has for its object the gratification of some intellectual enjoyment, whether in religion, morality or taste, or some convenience or other legal gratification, although these are not appreciated in money by the parties, yet damages are due for their breach; a contract for a religious or charitable foundation, a promise of marriage, or an engagement for a work of some of the fine arts, are objects and examples of this rule.

My passion for foreign languages and my desire to work as a translator and interpreter date back to high school, when I spent a whole year in Texas studying and getting in touch with different cultures.
With that experience in mind, after graduating from high school I decided to study languages and I therefore enrolled at the Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators (SSLMIT, University of Trieste), where I obtained the Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpreting in November 2007, with a final mark of 110/110 cum laude. That same year I enrolled in Conference Interpreting at the same university and I obtained the Master's Degree in March 2010, final mark 110/110 cum laude as well.
During my academic career, I took a couple of months off almost every year to study abroad and improve my language skills. In 2006 I went to Moscow, where I attended the Moscow State Linguistic University, in 2008 I spent two months at the French language school Alliance Française in Paris and between November 2009 and January 2010 I attended the University of Saint Joseph in Lebanon.
A couple of months before graduating I started working as freelance interpreter, my first assignement being a liaison interpreting service in B2B meetings between Italian and Russian entrepreneurs, organised by Aspin, the Special Agency for International Activies of the Frosinone Chamber of Commerce.
After graduation I started working as freelance translator on a regular basis, cooperating both with translation agencies and private clients.
I'm highly computer literate, in 2006 I obtained the European Computer Driving Licence, I regularly use MS Office 2007 and I'm SDL Trados Studio 2009 certified (advanced level).
