Bio
Doaa Nabil Embabi: is a translation instructor at the Languages Division, School of Continuing Education, the American University in Cairo. I am also a freelance translator/ interpreter and am particularly interested in the fields of development, labour issues, legal, human rights, and environmental translation. I also have research interests in translation studies with a particular focus on the concept of translation in Islamic feminist texts. With the growing use of AI in translation and interpretation, Embabi is working on a project exploring the connections between AI and legal translation training and another examining the intersections between AI/ machine translation and the concept of ethics in the field of translation.
