English to Azerbaijani: The Forsyte Saga/ part two/chapter I
Source text - English To say that Jon Forsyte accompanied his mother to Spain unwillingly would scarcely have been adequate. He went as a well-natured dog goes for a walk with its mistress, leaving a choice mutton-bone on the lawn. He went looking back at it. Forsytes deprived of their mutton-bones are wont to sulk. But Jon had little sulkiness in his composition. He adored his mother, and it was his first travel. Spain had become Italy by his simply saying: " I'd rather go to Spain, Mum; you've been to Italy so many times; I'd like it new to both of us."
Translation - Azerbaijani Jon Forsayt anası ilə könülsüz İspaniyaya getdi demək, həqiqətə cox çuzi olarag uyğun olardı. O dadlı bir goyun sümüyünü cəmənlikdə qoyaraq, bir xoş xəsiyyətli it kimi sahibinin arxasınca getdi. O arxaya ona baxaraq qetdi.
Sümüksüz qalmış Forsaitlar bir qayda olaraq qəm-qüssəyə qərq olurlar.
Lakin Jon xasiyyətcə qəmkin deyildi. O anasına pərəstiş edirdi, və bu onun birinci səfəri idi. İspaniya onun sadəcə olaraq " Mən məmnuniyyətlə İspaniyaya gedərdim Ana; sən İtaliyada necə dəfə olmusan; Mən bizim ikimiz ücün də yeni olan bir şey istərdim." deməyi ilə İtaliya oldu.

Non era un legno di lusso, ma un semplice pezzo da catasta, di quelli che d'inverno si mettono nelle stufe e nei caminetti per accendere il fuoco e per riscaldare le stanze.
Non so come andasse, ma il fatto gli e' che un bel giorno questo pezzo di legno capito' nella bottega di un vecchio falegname, il quale aveva nome mastr'Antonio, se non che tutti lo chiamavano maestro Ciliegia, per via della punta del suo naso, che era sempre lustra e paonazza, come una ciliegia matura.
Translation - Azerbaijani Biri var idi, biri yox idi...
-Bir kral! o dəqiqə deyəcəklər mənim kiçik oxucularım.
- Xeyir, uşaqlar, düz tapmadız. Bir parça taxta var idi.
Bu bir dəbdəbəli taxta deyildi, sadəcə bir qalaq odun parçası idi kı, qışda sobada odu alışdırmaq və otaqları qızdırmaq üçün istifadə olunurdu.
Kim bilir sonrası necə olacaqdı, lakin günlərin birisi bu taxta parçası bir yaşlı dülgərin emalatxanasına düşmüşdü. Like many people of my generation who is not originally russian, but was destined to born and grow up in the former Soviet Union, I grew up bilingual.
The secondary school, the University degree in Economics, military service in vicinity of Sankt Petersburg - thereby altogether more than 25 years of continuous study in russian language.
So that at the moment it's really hard to define what is my native language. Azerbaijani, the language of my parents or russian one, which is my preferable tool in getting of every kind of knowledge. Thereafter were several courses of english language by British council and those of italian both in Azerbaijan and in Italy. To perfect them was just matter of technique and diligence. At the moment I am carried away by german language.
For last ten years I have been done a huge volume of daily translation from english and italian into russian and azerbaijani languages and vice versa being in secretariat of several italian ambassadors to Azerbaijan. Main subjects of those translations are intergovernmental and interstate correspondence, economic projects relevant to various fields of economy.
Although I'm not graduated in linguistic, in my strong opinion to execute a job of translator/interpreter one has to have certain devotion, which I have.
