Source text - English The perceived color of a light source varies with the viewer and other conditions. Color temperature is an objective measure of the color of a light source, defined with reference to the temperature to which an object would have to be heated to radiate light in the same wavelengths. While light sources with a color temperature in the neighborhood of 5000–5500 K appear white, light sources with a lower color temperature, such as incandescent light bulbs, appear slightly yellow or red. Light sources with a higher color temperature appear tinged with blue.

I have been working as a freelance translator since 2010. I graduated in physics from Taras Shevchenko National University (Kyiv) in 1993 and obtained a Ph.D. degree in Physics in 2003. I am an author of more than 20 original papers in solid state physics published in peer-reviewed international journals. Since 2010, I combined my research activity with working as a freelance translator. In 2015, I abandoned my position at a research institute to focus entirely on translation work. I love my job because it allows me to learn a lot of interesting things and to meet many wonderful people. I am married for more than 20 years, I have a wonderful son and four nice cats.
