Source text - French To potential jerks
This novel is based on a true story. At this very moment, while it is being written, a young woman is waging a battle between life and death because of events in the war in Eastern Congo. A full name or some part of a name might seem to refer to you. If this is so, then it’s probably true. If you want to object, we advise you to confront this woman quickly. Be forewarned, however, that shame will be on you as to the part you have played in robbing her of her childhood and in destroying her life. But if you insist, do it quickly, as there is a chance that when you finally decide to go visit her, she will already be in Heaven, or buried in the Earth, which amount to the same thing where she comes from. We warn you that, in the end, it will do no good to blame the novel. It has only described in songs the horrors that you have made this poor creature suffer.
