I am a native Norwegian and have lived in the United States for almost half of my life. I travel back and forth between the US and Norway, and I recently spent a school year in Norway with my family for a full Norwegian language immersion for my kids as well. I am fully bilingual, and I have translated for the past 15 years, both as a freelancer and as part of an agency. I also occasionally work as an English-Norwegian interpreter, mainly over the phone with various medical institutions.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (with a minor in European Medieval History) and a Master of Science in Biotechnology, both from an American University. As a college student, I worked as an English tutor for the campus Writing Center and especially enjoyed working with ESL students.
Before I decided to become a full-time translator and interpreter, I worked in molecular research laboratories. I have also taught several university-level classes, including bacteriology and various microbiology and molecular laboratory courses.
Although my translation specialty is in science, I have translated and edited numerous texts in several fields. I enjoy the variety of my work, and I would be happy to help you with your translation needs.
Send me a message, and I will answer any questions you might have!
