Bio

I am an Italian translator and interpreter with 10+ years of experience in the localisation industry. I hold an MA in Translation Studies (NUI Galway, 2009) and a BA in Interpreting and Communication Studies (IULM Milan, 2006).

Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists. Associate Member of the Association of Translators and Interpreters Ireland.

INTERPRETING:

Enabling people to communicate is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. I have interpreted (simultaneously and consecutively) for EU practitioners, construction trainers, employee representatives, pharmaceutical professionals and… choir conductors, just to name a few. Whilst most of my assignments take place in Ireland, I occasionally travel abroad for work and am always available for remote interpreting. 

BUSINESS, FINANCIAL AND BANKING TRANSLATIONS:

Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to work directly in some of the fields I translate for, notably Business and Finance. I worked for three years in the Translation and Financial Reporting Departments of one of the leading financial services' providers, as well as in an Irish bank.

From payment apps to financial commentaries, from to day-to-day banking to trading: my direct clients are not just banks or financial institutions, but also developers and legal representatives.

MARKETING and E-LEARNING TRANSLATIONS, TRANSCREATIONS and INTERPRETING:

Marketing was one of the key subjects of my Interpreting and Communication Studies Degree: an academic knowledge of the Industry has provided me with the right tools to start translating and transcreating for my clients. I also enjoy interpreting and transcribing at/for focus groups and market research. I occasionally take assignments as a supervising linguist for voiceovers. As digital marketing is crucial for any business nowadays, I have acquired SEO skills that I can use for even more customised transcreations.
