A Companhia ABCD e a GGGG foram incluídas no pólo passivo em razão da “ineficiência e omissão no que se refere ao controle” do vazamento de óleo. Cumpre dizer que a ABDD e a GGGG instalaram barreiras de contenção de óleo, que não foram suficientes para conter a poluição. A Procuradora entende que “os poluidores estão ligados pelo vínculo de solidariedade”.
Translation - English Companies ABCD and GGGG were included as defendants due to “inefficacy and omission concerning control” of the oil spill. It should be mentioned that ABCD and GGGG have installed oil contention barriers which were not sufficient to contain the pollution. The Attorney General’s Office understands that “the polluters are connected under joint liability”.
