My name is Kasia and I am Polish. I have gained an interpreting and translation experience through work. I started as a Translator / Interpreting while working in Poland for Eng-Fr JV WS Atkins / Scetaroute who supervised the motorway construction in Poland and I learned a wide range of vocabulary in the road and bridges construction area. Then I movd on to working for Willett Ltd - a producer and suppplier of coding and labelling equipment for various industries. I translated marketing brochures, product description materials, prompts for the software. In the meantime I have been working as a proof reader for the Polish band 'Compulsive shopping disorder' (I m mentioned on their first album and will be on the second one as well).Now I work part-time as an analyst for Cattles Ltd and so again I have gained experience in the finance field (money borrowing and cash collection, workforce planning). I have completed a course Introduction to interpreting at Police Stations and I am safe to practise. I am preparing for taking the DPSI (Diploma in Public Service Interpreting) next year. I have volunteered as an interpreter for the public services.
