I'm working as a fulltime translator since 2006, but I started to translate long time before. Since I was a child, I always liked languages. I discovered my vocation as a translator when I was a University student. I'm German and I studied Italian Language and Literature (Lettere) at the University of Bologna. In the same time I travelled a lot and I was very often in the situation that I had to translate for other people. This happened, because I used be in middle of people from different countries and I was the one who could translate... I continued to travel and I started to do little translation jobs. Then I decided, that I wanted to be a real translator and I studied Translation in Spain; at the University of the beautiful city Seville. I think the best condition for a translator is the mixture of a serious education and the experience to live a foreign language and feel it as a part of your personality.
