I have 18 years of translation experience, so you can be confident that I offer a professional and reliable service. 

After gaining an MA in Interpreting and Translation from the University of Bath, I spent five years working as an in-house translator split between two different translation agencies. 

This allowed me to gain a wealth of translation experience, particularly in legal translation as my second in-house position was with a leading legal translation agency. 

In my last in-house position, I also held the role of quality manager meaning that I was responsible for dealing with client queries and maintaining the company’s quality control system. 

I have now been working as a freelance translator since 2011. I work mainly with carefully selected translation agencies to help provide an excellent service to their end clients.

I pride myself on delivering high quality work, which includes always meeting deadlines and responding promptly to emails. I also undertake regular CPD to update and improve my knowledge and skills.

I have experience of translating a variety of texts, but am particularly familiar with the following subject areas: 

- legal (contracts, terms and conditions, court judgments, legal correspondence, personal documents, etc.)

- business (commercial correspondence, press releases, company magazines, product brochures, trade fair information, training information, internal documents, etc.)

- technical (manuals, operating instructions, troubleshooting guides, SOPs, etc.)

In my free time I enjoy crafts (particularly sewing, knitting and embroidery) and cooking/baking – I'd love to translate in those areas too!
