I am a senior lecturer in French language at London metropolitan University.
I have published articles about French contemporary literature in both English and French and gave presentations in numerous international conferences in Europe and in the United States.
I have always worked as a translator and interpreter in addition to my academic work, whenever the opportunity arose.
My translations include:
literary booklets from English into French for the French educational magazine Today in English (Bayard Presse)
promotional materials and contracts for Backrow Productions (translator and interpreter during the organisation of the Tapdogs tour of France and Italy);
EU funded research projects on high speed trains in Europe;
EU funded research on the next generation of mobile phones;
translation into English of the French sections of the Preliminary debates to the drafting of the Hague Convention on the civil aspects of international child abduction,
Voluntary translation work for Reunite UK, a charity specialised in international child abduction. |
