English to Russian: Special geotechnical works -Diaphragm walls
Source text - English 1 Scope
This European Standard specifies the execution of diaphragm walls and the practical aspects which must be taken into account in the production of the working drawings. Diaphragm walls can be permanent or temporary structures. The following types are concerned:
a) retaining walls: usually made to support the sides of an excavation in the ground. They include:
1) cast in situ concrete diaphragm walls;
2) precast concrete diaphragm walls;
3) reinforced slurry walls;
b) cut-off diaphragm walls: usually made to prevent migration of groundwater, clear or polluted, or of other
liquids present in the ground. They include:
1) slurry walls (possibly with membranes or sheetpiles);
2) plastic concrete walls.
The design, planning and execution of diaphragm walls call for experience and knowledge in this specialized field. The execution phase requires skilled and qualified personnel and this document cannot replace the know-how of specialist personnel and the expertise of experienced contractors.
Translation - Russian 1
1) траншейные стены из бетона, заливаемого на месте производства работ;
2) сборные бетонные траншейные стены;
3) укрепленные «стены в грунте»;
1) «стены в грунте» (могут быть с диафрагмами или шпунтовыми перемычками);

Abstract Cancer of (lie pharyngoesophageal junction (PEJ) is associated with late onset of symptoms, high morbidity, and a dismal prognosis. Radical surgery with pharyngolaryngectomy and reconstruction with a lice vascularized jejunal transplant has been increasingly practiced in the treatment of these patients. This strategy is not devoid of challenges, and the present study is aimed at evaluating the long-term functional outcome among patients who have undergone such surgical treatment. Ten patients (mean age 5C) years) with a mean follow-up lime of 54 months were included. Clinical assessment, health-related quality of life (IIRQL) questionnaires, and a stan¬dardized radiography examination were used lor evalua¬tion. The Karnofsky index ranged from 60 to 90 (mean 82). Global QL scores (EORTC QLQ-C30) had a mean value of 74. and the mean scores for dysphagia-related items of the EORTC QLQ OES-18 questionnaire were within the lower range. Radiographic signs of disturbed bolus transport through the jejunal transplant were found in all patients examined despite the grading of dysphagia from 0 to 1. The Watson dysphagia score varied between 0.5 and 45.0 (mean 16.2). No correlations were found between radio¬graphic findings and the clinical evaluations or the out¬comes assessed by the IIRQL questionnaires. HRQL was found to be generally good after cancer of the PEJ and jejunal transplant insertion. Most patients reported mild dysphagia. Radiologic signs of disturbed bolus passage were common, but their clinical impact seemed questionable.

Source text - English With the extensive well coverage the structure is well constrained. The field is divided into a South (or Main) Block, and a North Block. The Main Block is a dip-closed fault block, slightly elongated in a north-south direction, fault-bounded to the north-east and east and dip-closed to the west. It is about 4.5 km long and up to 2 km wide. The northern, western and southern limits of the reservoirs are defined by oil-water contacts. It has an eastern area corresponding to near-crestal, footwall collapse (at the deeper two reservoir horizons) around Well -7. The North Block is located 1 km from the Main Block, and it is bounded to the south and east by faults and dip-closed to the north-west.
