My professional education took place at competitive biomedical research institutions in Europe. From 2001-2004 I worked as a post-doctoral Research Assistant at the University of Oxford (Oxford, UK). Before that I was employed by the Pasteur Institute (Paris, France) as a Chercheur contractuel from 1998-2000.
In Paris I also obtained a doctoral degree (PhD) in Immunology from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI) in 2001, after graduating with my first university degree as Diplom-Biologe (MSc) from the Christian-Albrechts-Universität in Kiel (Germany) in 1997.
In 2004 I moved to Sweden, where I studied Swedish at Komvux to high-school level (Svenska som andraspråk B) and later started working full-time as freelance translator.
Since 2005 I have translated information from various fields, specializing in Life Sciences and Medicine.
Translated projects include manuals for medical devices (ultrasound, MRI, histology etc.), clinical study protocols, informed consent forms, scientific presentations and articles, lab guides and more. My main focus is on translations and/or updates of EMA-related documents (SmPC and PIL) for both human and veterinary medical products.
