Source text - English Dearest Vera (momma),
This letter is to inform you more about me and of my intentions regarding your daughter Olga.
I realize that we have not yet met physically, but still I feel as if I know you. In recent months as health issues regarding your eyes have arisen I have demonstrated to you that I care for you emotionally as I would my own mother.
I want to first state to you that I realize that the past few years have been rough on both of us. I also understand that after the situation regarding Glenn, your idea of what constitutes an American Man may not be ideal. It is my goal to demonstrate to you I am a different man. One that values integrity, honesty, courage and valor. I will follow through with what I have promised to both you and your daughter Olga.
My own mother Juanita passed on in February 25th 1992 and I have missed her since. Her mother Anna, my grandmother, was my favorite. She passed on in September 25th 1999 at the age of 99. When I first saw Olga's photo I was amazed just how much she looks just like my favorite grandmother. Olga also looks much like my father Charles's mother.
My father is still alive and with Olga's emotional support I plan on taking Olga to meet my father when she comes to be with me here. He lives about 3 hours south of me in San Luis Obispo California. He and I have not spent much time together over the past few years due to seeing things differently.
As you know Olga and I have known each other for some time (May 2005), and recently I had the pleasure to meet your daughter in Saint Petersburg for two weeks. They say that one finds their true love when they are not looking. I wasn't looking and Olga were brought together. I believe that it was gods guidance. Now I cannot imagine living without Olga. I need her.
When I visited her in Saint Petersburg there were things that I struggled in doing and needed help. Your daughter helped me through those things and I came to realize that good partners in life help each other with such things, like a dance. Sometimes one is stronger and leads, then the other is stronger then they lead. I needed Olga's support when I was there as I was afraid being away from home in a new place I have never been. She helped me greatly and made me feel comfortable and safe. When I held her hand I had a thought that I could see me still holding her hand for the rest of my life. It is my intention to do the same for her when she comes to be with me here.
I have already begun the process for the K-1 visa. If all the documents are submitted in a timely manner, she should be with me here in the United States by August of this year. Olga and I will then have 3 months in which to determine whether we are going to commit to one another for the rest of our lives as marital partners.
During that time it is my plan to ask Olga for her hand in marriage. I want you to know that I don't ask this lightly. With Olga there have been many firsts. She is the first woman I have supported financially. She is the first woman I have bought clothes for, and she is the first woman I have truly felt would be that life partner we all dream of finding.
I therefore ask you now for your permission to marry your daughter. It would appreciate if you would give your blessings for my and Olga's future together.
It will be an honor to have you as a mother in law. I promise to you and to god that I will honor, cherish, care, and love Olga until the day I die.

Когда я держал ее руку, я мог видеть себя с ее рукой в моей всю жизнь. Мое намерение сделать ее жизнь такой же комфортной, когда она приедет ко мне.
Я уже начал процесс с визой К-1 (виза невесты). Если документы будут рассмотрены вовремя, она будет со мной в США в августе этого года. У нас с Ольгой будет три месяца, чтобы решить хотим ли мы быть вместе всю жизнь, как муж и жена.
В это время я собираюсь попросить Ольгиной руки. Пожалуйста поймите, что я не отношусь к этому легкомысленно. С Ольгой у меня было много того, что я делал впервые. Она первая женщина, которой я оказал финансовую поддержку. Первая женщина, которой я купил одежду, и первая женщина, которая, я почувствовал, может быть тем партнером по жизни, которого мы все надеемся когда-нибудь найти.
Таким образом, я прошу руки вашей дочери. Также я бы очень хотел вашего благословения на наше с Ольгой будущее.
