Strenghs: XXXX is developing his Algebra skills. In the Learning Lab he has demonstrated the he is able to: regroup when he is subtracting whole numbers; identify decimal placement; write decimal numbers; identify and convert fractions into decimals and percentages; add fractions with unlike denominators; and solve for perimeter and area. On the formal testing XXXX is able to do some of the math problems with out paper and pencil; he can solve the problems using mental math. He can also recall mulitiplication/division facts with 80% accuracy.
Needs: According to the formal testing XXXX scored below the average range in calculations. Being able to recall all the multiplication/division facts with 100% accuracy will help him solve problems with whole number operations, word problems and algebraic equations. Abraham will need to know Algebra 1 concepts and practice the procedures, he can accomplish this by completing his daily classwork and homework assignments. If he does not know the procedure he will need to ask for clarification and assistance. Keeping written prompts/steps of the procedures will help him recall the multi-steps in solving the equations. Using a personal calculator will assure for accuracy on class and homework assignments
