Hi,

Does anyone know how to turn a Tageditor file into an editable file in SDLX?

I managed to convert the INX file into Tageditor format, but is there a way to turn it into SDLX file format (perhaps ITD format)?

Thanks to the experienced ones!

Use SDL Exchange module in SDL Trados 2006 Jan 30, 2007

You can use SDL Exchange module in SDL Trados 2006 to convert Tageditor files (.ttx) to SDLX (.itd) back and forward.

If you don't have SDL Trados, you can download the trial version and try it.

Good luck,

Converting TagEditor into SDLX format Jan 30, 2007

Hi,

SDLX 2005 has a tool called "Exchange" that allows you to convert ttx files into itd and back.

In fact, INX is the interchangeable format from Adobe Indesign CS2 and you can only translate it with TagEditor and SDL Trados 7.5.

Best regards,

Òscar Martín

Use Exchange Jan 30, 2007

You can use Exchange from the main menu. This utility added in SDLX 2006 (available separately for SDLX 2004) can be used for converting ITD format to TTX and viceversa.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, but there is a problem... Jan 30, 2007

Hello!

thanks for your hint. I found out myself the programme (Exchange), however what happens now is that I have the Tageditor file converted BUT only up to the point I have translated it. After that the rest of the segments appear mysteriously "deleted".

The only way I can get a full SDLX file is translating it in Tageditor and then doing the conversion, so that I get the full document.

Do you know why this happens? Am I doing something wrong?
