: Either "feature" or "element" of bleeding are literally correct, , but I'm a little uneasy about this term as it typically seems to occur in non-medical contexts (per my Google search just now).

A "sign" is defined as "an observable indication of a disease" (Barron's Dictionary of Medical Terms), so, when referring to what a brain scan shows, this translation seems a logical choice. See also link below.
