Hello
The context is office equipment and a system that you operate from your desk to handle people knocking on your door (busy, wait, enter etc.)
In the sentence
LED-indikering finns både i bordsapparat och indikeringstablå för att indikera och ***kvittera*** knappfunktionerna.
I thought "kvittera" meant "acknowlegde" (the signal) but I've never seen such a system before where the "knocker" can do this.
So I wonder if "kvittera" could mean "reset" The closest to "reset" in the dictionaries is "equalise"
Thanks in advance

I'd say ur reading too much into your context. From what you've given this is what u want.
