Swedish term

storplans

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Accounting
"Stämma av storplansarna (totalt ca 5-10 storplans per månad) mot småplansar (totalt ca 15-20 småplans per storplans) för att spåra analyserad vikt för totala storplansen mot respektive småplans tillverkningsorder."

Is this something as simple as an anglicism, and is therefore just "plan(s)", or is it something entirely different? I am failing to find other references in Swedish for this word.

Any help or guidance much appreciated.

octagonal gold bar stock

Gold bar stock is sold in Sweden in several shapes. "Plans" refers to an octagonal bar shape (another common shape is "plåt" (rectangular)).

You can buy "plans" in a number of thicknesses. I would assume that "stor" refers to the larger size this company uses for their production and "små" is the smaller size.

Note from asker:
Thank you for this, Hans! Based on your really useful references (with the images), I found that the term used in English for this octagonal shape is a 'planchet'.
