Spanish term

dos llaves

Spanish to English Other Tourism & Travel
This is from a Castillian Spanish hotel's website. The client wants UK English.

I think they mean 2 star, but I'm not sure. I've never heard of "llaves" in this context. Has anyone come across this before? Thanks so much for your help.
Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Rachel: a suggestion Google the name of the apartments along with a term such as "beach" to bring up results in English and observe how they are described, whether keys are used or not

Sorry, the link above doesn´t work when you click on it. It's this:

The 'llaves' are the same as 'estrellas' but used for apartments as opposed to hotels in Spain, at least. But 'stars' are used for both hotels and apartments in the UK, not 'keys'.

You're welcome, Rachel!
Note from asker:
In the end all the references I found for "two-key" were translations of Spanish hotel services into English. So I opted for 2-star with a note for the client saying if they wanted to use "key" they need to explain the relationship to the star rating system.

two key appartment (the equivalent of a three star hotel)

"llaves" is a grading system for appartments (vacational renting) which does not exactly match the "estrellas" system for hotels. Apparthotels (apartahotels) and appartments tend to be of higher quality: the lowest quality appartments tend to be better than the lowest quality hotels.

My parenthesis for "(apartahotels)" was missing an E, and I meant "(apartahoteles)", the Spanish term. Not too important, but...

agree Bubo Coroman (X) : exactly, I came across the term in a translation for Andalucía where it was abbreviated to "2LL"

Los apartamentos Nazareth de Costa Teguise son un dos estrellas, en realidad llevan dos llaves (es la clasificación de isla para diferenciar los hoteles de los apartahoteles).
