I don't see any reason why I wouldn't stick with the concept of 'vanguardismo' - Why not? Having looked the guy up, he seems pretty 'vanguard' to me!
Here's how I'm reading it:
"Then there’s Mikel Laboa’s extensive range/array of offerings, which takes in everything from the highly-popular, clear-cut stuff, to the latest in cutting-edge vanguardism. He offers everyone a slice of the action, it would seem - a bit special/someone to watch out for."

Might as well go all the way and promote him as "the latest in cutting-edge vanguardism" I say.
Here's how I'm reading it:
"Then there’s Mikel Laboa’s extensive range/array of offerings, which takes in everything from the highly-popular, clear-cut stuff, to the latest in cutting-edge vanguardism. He offers everyone a slice of the action, it would seem - a bit special/someone to watch out for."
