Mil gracias a Xenia y George.
One more thing How do you say INCUMPLIDO (A) in English? As a GENERIC, STANDARD WORD you can apply to everything.
Non-ProZ.com Jul 14, 2005:
Hey Jessica and George You both got the correct "catch" here. What I am PRECISELY trying to find is a GENERIC word for Incumplir and Incumplimiento, because we do have it in Spanish. So, for now can I assume you are saying there is no such a thing in English? Boy, this is for my breakfast tomorrow! Be good.
jrb Jul 14, 2005:
Hi Gabriel! How are you? I agree with George about the specific context too. Take care.
George Rabel Jul 14, 2005:
Hola Gabo.. incumplimiento de que? Promesas, compromisos, palabra? Saludos

My suggestion; I've phrased this in the way above in order to use a noun, but the more natural way of saying it would be:

I'm fed up with you being so unreliable / flaky / scatty / lax; (always) letting me/people down is really bad...

I think the one word you can use for incumplido/a is unreliable. Flaky means not fulfilling promises, scatty is more about being disorganised (and perhaps late), and lax conveys a sense of being negligent.

I can't think of an intransitive verb for incumplir; the nearest I can get is something like breach or let s.o. down.

I hope that helps a little!

thanks Canaria!
agree Christina Courtright : the concept of unreliable is the best "generic" term for incumplido, but it's a mistake for asker to try to find an absolute answer out of context

thanks; I agree that there isn't necessarily a generic equivalent, but I think Gabriel is just linguistically curious!
agree Cecilia Della Croce : I like the first 2. Saludos, Jess

Incompliant might be OK. It means, among other things, often unreasonably immovable in purpose or will: adamant, adamantine, brassbound, die-hard, grim, implacable, incompliant, inexorable, inflexible, intransigent, iron, obdurate, relentless, remorseless, rigid, stubborn, unbendable, unbending, uncompromising, unrelenting, unyielding. Will do only what s/he wills.

I am fed up with your failing to deliver, It´s not nice not to fulfill your promises

unfulfilled promises, obligations, promises, expectations...
in all of those cases, la palabra equivale a \"incumplimiento\".

\"I have a feeling of unfulfillment\" es como \"no me siento realizado\".
