turf / lay turf on the area / plant out/sow
DRAE prnl.
I love "enzacatar"!

Perhaps "grass" wd be a better word, since I don't visualize a lawn.

: there are tons of hits for "how to lay turf" so as far as I'm concerned that's a perfectly acceptable option!

: Your use of turf is correct: (I took a course in turf management). Also 'plant', 'plant out' 'sow grass on' , or even 'landscape' if larger plants are contemplated as well.

: In my view "laying turf" is absolutely the right expression. as Muriel says, "planting out" would be a good option if more than grass might be involved.

cover with sod, grass
here are some options:
create grassy areas (in the planned green zone/s) , lay sod, grass-cover
hope this is helpful, good luck on your translation

lay grass/place lawn
I think this would depend on the size of the area. Nowadays, neither lawn or grass are sown. They are laid directly and due to their quick-growing roots, they grip onto the earth below.
