Spanish term

festejado

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Business/Commerce (general) Mexico
Help! Normally I would translate "el festejado" as "the birthday boy" or suchlike, however in this context it is referring to giving gift certificate to anyone celebrating a special occasion, eg. wedding, graduation, birthday.
The context requires a short term or expression, does anyone have any ideas?

Really, this is what we would say in English (although it is a bit longer). This is what sounds natural to me, anyway.
