Dear Proz members,

I was wondering about the exact meaning of the sentence ナウな男のナウな自身.

In my contest, we have a wannabe scientist who's obsessed with flying saucers, and thus he recreates a "better version", or so he says, of the Nazca lines near his home, trying to convince the ufos to contact him.

After saying the ufos will surely land within these lines, he says that sentence. I've searched the Internet and found out that ナウ was used in the 70s as a way to say "modern", "in", "trendy" (my film is from 1974, so it makes sense), but still I'm failing to grasp what he means with ナウな自身 here.
