Saya pikir "ibu kota"-nya desa adalah tempat di desa yang dianggap sebagai pusatnya. Biasanya sebuah tempat berkumpul penduduk desa. Bisa jadi berupa sebuah gedung (rumah ibadah, balai desa) dan tanah lapang di sekitarnya, atau yang lebih sering: pasar kaget atau pasar mingguan di desa.

After about twenty minutes of discussion, Fr. Chris informed me that the villagers wanted us to wait, because some of the elderly and a few of the young adults were still walking to the gathering from their homes outside of the village center (note that no body in the village has a car). Dari berkeliling dari desa ke desa dalam rangka tugas, saya menyimpulkan bahwa kalau ada yang mengatakan mengenai "ibukota desa" berarti salah satu kampung/dukuh/anak desa yang dijadikan sebagai "pusat pemerintahan desa", yaitu ada kantor desa beserta balai desanya masing-masing. Namun, saya belum melihat balai desa di Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam karena pertemuan biasanya dilakukan di meunasah (masjid desa). Dengan kata lain, "ibukota desa' itu sebenarnya ialah "pusat pemerintahan desa" atau "village administration center".
