vehicle identification documents

As the referred term is the "ID" of the car, containing all of the relevant information on the vehicle, all sorts of documentation numbers, weight etc. I think is is best to put it this way.

agree Andras Mohay (X) : "Temporary registration document (and certificate of originality)" - Certicard ?

Well, "certicard" sure sounds like a creative solution to me :) Anyway, the set of documents proves the originality of the vehicle, just as perke noted, but there is some other data on it as well, so "identification" is a more general term to cover it all

freight/shipment documents

Mainly for supplies involving a Letter of Credit.
Supplier gets the money after the bank confirmed the receipt of goods.
Peer comment(s):

disagree perke : Freight/shipment documents mean "fuvarokmányok", in general. "Járműkísérő lap" proves the originality of the vehicle and is issued by a special control station.

There is force in what you say, though I don't know what this spec. control station may be.
