: Un loft est plutôt un plan d'appartement sans cloisons, et en version deux niveaux avec mezzanines ouverte. Ça peut être en attique aussi... mais un appartement en attique n'est pas forcément un loft.

D'ailleurs, acceptez toutes mes excuses pour le retard avec lequel j'adresse cette précision...
Dans l'architecture classique, l'attique est l'étage carré ou le petit mur situé au-dessus de la corniche. Ce niveau est, le plus souvent, disposé en retrait du reste de la façade permettant ainsi, côté rue, l'aménagement d'un balcon filant.
