Gestaltung des Zusammenlebens

German to English Social Sciences Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc.
This expression appears in a speech given at a dinner given for secretaries. Some of the discussion involves the choice women must make with respect to a career and having children. Does "Zusammenleben" here mean coexistence, cohabitation, or what?

I think Zusammenleben refers to the private sphere between spouses,not how to balance the demands of job and private life

To cohabit means to live together as man and woman, esp. when they are not married.

To coexist means to exist together, at the same time, or the same place.

I think, that the sentence here means generally living together.

It could be: "The balance between family and professional life should be given a special meaning in the existence of society."
