Geplantes

German to English Social Sciences Business/Commerce (general) Coaching/Psychology/Socio
"Trotzdem ist er durch seinen aktuellen und historischen Erfahrungshintergrund bestimmt. So muss ein Coach damit rechnen, dass vom Klienten sachlich ***Geplantes*** durch seine biographischen Prägungen auch verhindert werden kann."

I can't find any references for Geplantes as a noun, and turning it into a verb hasn't worked out very well for me, so far. Could I perhaps translate it as "what was planned" or something like that?

To me it sounds like a client's best-laid plans may just as easily come to nought owing to their biographical overtones

carefully conceived plans

"Carefully conceived plans" is a phrase that gets a lot of use in similar contexts. Such plans are always described as "carefully conceived" when they run the risk of being foiled. The same structure applies to our situation. That makes it a fairly close equivalent to "sachlich Geplantes", in my opinion.

Example from link below:

"Inevitably, life’s unknown and unexpected events and influences muscle their way into your experience and wreak havoc with those carefully conceived plans."

Add a noun...

e.g.
"... actions planned by the client/customer"
"... activities planned by the client/customer"
"... opeations planned by the client/customer"

etc. I don't know exactly what sort of actions this would be as I don't know who the client is or what he does, but I guess you will be able to answer that question :)

** I meant "... operations planned by the client/customer" of course.
