French term

Constante de sécurité

French to English Tech/Engineering Other Personal Protective Equipment
This is in a brochure for harnesses (PPE).

Constante de sécurité is found in a table of various items including listing the clearance required and the length of the lanyard. The value given for "constante de sécurité" is + 1.00 m.

I have found "factor of safety" on Wikipedia, but they also list design factor as a possibility.

I'm wondering if it is one of those or something completely different. Thanks!
